Introduction

LifeLabs Learning trains executives, managers, and teams on the most essential workplace skills. This privacy and data collection policy will explain how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our website and/or our services.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the information and data collected by LifeLabs when you interact with us on our websites or through other channels (for example, by communicating with us or attending one of our events), and when you use our services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, receive, use, store, share, transfer, and process your Personal Data. It also describes your choices and rights with respect to your Personal Data, including your rights of access and correction of your Personal Data. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should not use our websites or our Services.

Customers may collect and manage Personal Data from their employees when using our Services. LifeLabs processes such data as a processor under the direction of our customers. Our customers, as data controllers, are responsible for complying with any regulations or laws that require providing notice, disclosure, and/or obtaining consent prior to collecting their employees or customers’ Personal Data. Please see the below section “Information We Collect and Process When You Use our Services” and our LifeLabs Data Processing Agreement for more information.

We update this Privacy Policy from time to time and we encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. We will post any Privacy Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice by sending you an email notification. Terms not otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy will have the meaning as set forth in the LifeLabs Rules of Engagement or LifeLabs Data Processing Agreement.  For the purposes of this Privacy Policy “Personal Data” shall mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual where such information is protected similarly as personal data or personally identifiable information under applicable Data Protection Laws (as defined in the LifeLabs Data Processing Agreement).

What data do we collect?

LifeLabs Learning collects the following data:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Company

  • Role within the company

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide LifeLabs Learning with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Contact us, or book our services

  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey, submit an inquiry form, or provide feedback.

  • Sign up for any promotional events.

  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

LifeLabs Learning may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Business directories, databases, social media, and/or lead generation services.

  • Referrals

LifeLabs has a legitimate interest in processing names and email addresses provided by your employer when your employer has purchased our services. Processing that data allows us to provide you with the services, including communications with materials and information that are part of our services.

How will we use your data?

LifeLabs Learning collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your order.

  • Manage your account.

  • Provide the services, including following up after workshops with helpful information

LifeLabs Learning will not sell your data.

To provide the services effectively, we use third party software platforms that help us with organizing contracts, scheduling the services, and communicating with you. To do that, we share customer data with those software providers. We ensure we only use platforms and software services that have at least the same level of privacy and data protection as LifeLabs. How do we store your data?

LifeLabs Learning securely stores your data using cloud-based storage, and in secure platforms such as HubSpot, Google Workspace, and Amazon Web Services.

LifeLabs Learning will keep your data while it is needed to provide the services we have contracted to provide to you, or until you request that your data be deleted or removed. If you request that your data be deleted prior to the services being completed, it may affect our ability to provide the services to you. Once this period has expired, data is deleted on demand and requestor will receive written confirmation from LifeLabs Learning that associated data has been purged from our systems, including (but not exclusive to) CRM, email, and other internal databases.

Marketing

LifeLabs Learning would like to send you information about our products and services that we think you might like, as well as those of our partner companies.

If you consent to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop LifeLabs Learning from contacting you for marketing purposes.

If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please click on the unsubscribe link located at the bottom of all marketing emails.

What are your data protection rights?

LifeLabs Learning would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request LifeLabs Learning for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that LifeLabs Learning correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request LifeLabs Learning to complete information you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that LifeLabs Learning erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that LifeLabs Learning restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to LifeLabs Learning’s processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that LifeLabs Learning transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

We have made significant efforts to ensure we are in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and to help our customers comply with GDPR contractual obligations. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

LifeLabs Learning complies with the CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), which became effective January 2020. As currently defined in CCPA, LifeLabs Learning will operate as a Service Provider under CCPA to its customers.
