Meet Tom O’Brien

Tom brings nearly 20 years of technology operations leadership experience at fast-paced, high-growth companies to LifeLabs Learning, with a broad depth and breadth of knowledge across product operations, business operations, and general management. At LifeLabs, Product Operations designs and deploys human-centered strategies, systems, policies, and processes that power our learning products and services, and enable our product teams to do their best work.

The LifeLabs Learning value that most resonates with me and why: Be Kind to Your Mind - So much of how we show up in the world starts with how we show up for ourselves. Many times, in our professional or personal lives, we sacrifice self care in service of other demands. I am grateful that LifeLabs lives "Be Kind to Your Mind" as a core value, because it creates space for making self care a priority. This opens up creativity, compassion, and discovery, and allows us to show up for others in an even greater capacity.

Fun fact: I was a theatre kid growing up, and had some brief brushes with fame as a voice-over actor in my high-school and college years (by that, I mean I recorded a handful of commercials and received some royalty checks for a few years). Recently, my daughter has started performing at the same theatre company I performed at growing up, where I now serve on the board of directors (stagestheatre.org).
