Meet Dave Zhou

Dave is the Director of People Development at Instacart. He’s been working in the talent, design, and product space for nearly twenty years. At Instacart, he scaled the HR function and built the People Development team. His primary focus is to enable leaders to unlock talent and help their teams grow.

Before Instacart, he led HR and Recruiting at IDEO, a global design consultancy. He also built the Talent and Employee Experience functions at IDEO.org, which believes that design can have a disproportionate impact on poverty alleviation. Prior to working in talent, Dave was a product manager specializing in biotechnology therapeutic production.

Dave graduated from Vanderbilt University where he studied Engineering Science and Psychology. He grew up as a third culture kid, living on three continents. His passions include organizational design, systems thinking, and craft cocktail making.
