Dan holds a Master’s Degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, and specializes in compassion resiliency, multicultural awareness and Nonviolent Communication. He is a licensed behavioral health therapist with over 14 years of diverse clinical experience in medical settings. Dan’s background is in coaching, counseling psychology and designing organizational training to support integrated healthcare teams.

The LifeLabs Learning value that most resonates with me and why: Courage Over Comfort. To grow and create the person I wish to become, it takes awareness, self-compassion, and courage to choose my responses with intention and care. It’s easy to stay in the cocoon, wrapped in comfort and solace. However, those who dare move through uncertainty, feel the discomfort and pain of growth, not only step into their greatest potential, but also act as a humble inspiration for us all to transcend the prison of conditioning.

Pronunciation guide: Panzarella (pan-za-rella) Pretty much like it sounds, and yet I often get all kinds of variations, like Panzarelli!

Fun fact: Next to love of learning, my greatest joy is in creating beauty. Whether it’s taking/editing photos, Venetian plastering my home, wood working, or creating strange clay sculptures with peg dolls and polymer clay, I love to make beauty.
